For the last while it seems that the Battlefield 3 servers have been rank with cheaters and now DICE is finally doing something about it. DICE has stated that they have recently banned another batch of several hundred confirmed cheaters based on your reports and the player behavior data. Life on the battlefield can be harsh, but it should never be a case of you losing because someone is outright cheating. Personally, I am positive that I have been taken out by an aimbot on many occasions.
DICE says that they have always taken cheating seriously but, starting today, they are going to further intensify thier efforts to hunt down and kill (err, ban) cheaters and wiping thier stats in an effort tp get them to understand that they're ruining the game for others. Do you think they will learn?
Reports of suspected cheating can done through Battlelog, entering the profile page of the person you suspect and clicking the triangle in the top right corner of his name. This will open up a window where you can describe to DICE what happened. Please enter as much detail as possible, describing what specifically makes you believe this player has used unfair methods, and preferably include a link to the Battle Report for the match in question.
These reports are then received by the analysts at DICE who will do a deeper analysis of the situation and take appropriate action, including stats wiping and/or banning players who are confirmed as cheating.
Is that a job title? Battlefield 3 Cheating Analyst?
