Square Enix reveals epic conclusion to Lightning’s Saga

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII Coming to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 system in 2013

Square Enix has unveiled the final chapter to Lightning’s saga at a fan-filled 25th anniversary event of the Final Fantasy franchise. Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, due out next year, incorporates a brand-new story, world, characters and an enhanced gameplay system.

The official website at http://finalfantasyxiii.com/LR/ invites us back on September 4th for more details.

A series of four presentation videos have been released along with the announcement of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. which can be viewed below.

The Final Fantasy XIII franchise has now shipped more than 9.6 million units worldwide. Production is underway, and the game will feature Lightning as a playable character and will allow players to experience an active and expansive environment like never before.

This one looks really interesting but they already lost me after FFXIII. Hated that game to death. If this would have been a new game (not related to anything FFXIII) I would have given it a chance but now it's too late. Because the thing is that I love games with consistent stories-lines and worlds like Metal Gear and Yakuza series but this Lighting saga is all over the place and no matter how good the gameplay is this is something that I just can't forgive.

FF was better when the games didn't have any sequels. Another sinner was FFX-2 and directed by Toriyama too... It totally changed the feel of FFX and how its portrayed.
