Guild Wars 2 Beta Public Sign-up Open For 48 Hours

Now is your chance to sign up to participate in one of the upcoming Guild Wars 2 beta events. Beta Signup is only open for 48 hours so you'll need to act quickly to obtain a place. Beta sign up closes at 18.00 GMT Friday 24 February.

The first step is to run a system configuration tool that sends your system configuration to ArenaNet to complete the signup.

The must be a few million players trying to sign up because we've been having problems getting past the configuration transmission from the Scannertron tool. Once we got past it but it gave a sysem error.

So just keep trying. The Guild Wars 2 Twitter page says that they're aware of the issues and are working to fix it.

At the end of the signup it says "Keep an eye out for a confirmation email from us." and "These special closed beta events are open to invited players only." so it appears there's no gurantee that everyone will get in.
