Sony globally premiered the “Death Is No Excuse” PlanetSide 2 cinematic trailer, produced by Blur Studio, last night at ChinaJoy 2012, Asia’s top game expo, along with the simultaneous worldwide debut of the trailer online. The CGI trailer for the award-winning upcoming massively multiplayer online first-person shooter (MMOFPS), PlanetSide 2, personifies the unprecedented online multiplayer gaming experience in this reimagining of the ever-popular PlanetSide franchise where players battle in massive environments alongside and against thousands of players for empire control over the planet of Auraxis.

John Smedley, President, Sony Online Entertainment says,

The ‘Death Is No Excuse’ trailer brilliantly captures the intense action and massive depth of gameplay in PlanetSide 2. PlanetSide 2 is currently in a Pre-External Beta Technical Testing phase and will be available as Free-To-Play. Your Way. on PC systems via digital download later this year. Optional content will be available for purchase in the marketplace.
